Brightening, straightening and restoring smiles with cosmetic dentistry at Align Dental Surgery

Cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry in Singapore

Treatments that brighten, straighten and restore your smile, with a light touch and a natural finish.

A good cosmetic plan starts with healthy teeth and gums, so we usually begin with an assessment and a clean. From there, the right treatment depends on what is bothering you: colour, shape, gaps, crowding, or a missing tooth.

We will always talk you through the trade-offs. Whitening is reversible and minimally invasive; veneers and crowns change the tooth permanently; clear aligners or braces move teeth without touching the enamel. The best choice is the one that fits your goals, your timeline and your budget.

Ways we can help your smile

Teeth whitening, tooth-coloured fillings, veneers, crowns and clear aligners are some of the ways we can help with the colour, shape or alignment of your teeth, or replace a missing tooth, so you have a smile you are happy to show.

Tooth-coloured restorations

Cosmetic dentistry also covers everyday restorations done with a natural look in mind. Tooth-coloured porcelain fillings repair decay and small fractures while blending in, dental crowns rebuild and protect a heavily damaged tooth, and dental bridges replace a missing tooth by anchoring a natural-looking replacement to the teeth beside it.

Straighten and refine

Braces and Invisalign clear aligners move your own teeth into place without removing enamel, correcting crowding, spacing and bite for teens and adults. Where the goal is mainly the look of the front teeth, whitening or a few veneers can refine the result.

The Align Dental difference

Why patients choose us

  • Natural-looking, not overdone

We aim for a result that suits your face and your smile, not a one-size-fits-all look.

  • Conservative first

Where whitening or aligners can do the job, we will say so, rather than reaching for veneers or crowns.

  • One coordinated plan

Whitening, aligners, veneers and implants can be sequenced together so everything fits.

Questions & answers

Cosmetic dentistry: common questions

Is professional teeth whitening safe?
Yes. Professional whitening uses a controlled concentration of whitening gel applied by your dentist or in custom-made trays, which is safer and more predictable than over-the-counter products. Some people notice short-lived tooth sensitivity for a day or two, which usually settles on its own and can be managed with a sensitive-teeth toothpaste. Whitening will not change the colour of fillings, crowns or veneers, so we will plan around any existing dental work. Results last longer if you avoid heavy staining from coffee, tea, red wine and smoking.
Should I choose veneers or Invisalign?
It depends on what you want to change. If the issue is mainly the position of the teeth, crowding or small gaps, Invisalign or braces move your own teeth into place without removing any enamel, which is the more conservative option. If the issue is the colour, shape or surface of the front teeth, veneers can reshape and brighten them in a few visits, but they are a permanent change. Often the best plan is a combination: align the teeth first, then refine with whitening or a small number of veneers. We will go through the trade-offs at your consultation.
How long does a cosmetic dental treatment take?
It varies a lot by treatment. In-clinic whitening is usually done in a single appointment; veneers typically take two to three visits; clear aligner treatment runs from a few months to around a year or more depending on the case; and dental implants are staged over several months to allow healing. At your first visit we will map out the steps and rough timeline for your specific plan so you know what to expect. If you have an event coming up, tell us and we will see what fits.
