A bone graft adds material to the jaw to rebuild bone that has been lost, so that a dental implant has enough solid bone to anchor into. When a tooth is missing for a while, the bone that used to support it gradually shrinks, and gum disease or an injury can also reduce it. If there is not enough bone for an implant to be placed safely, a graft can restore the volume, after which the area is left to heal before the implant goes in. Whether you need one depends on how much bone you have, which we assess with imaging at your consultation.

Yes. We treat root canals under magnification for precision, which helps with teeth that have narrow, curved or extra canals, and with re-treating teeth where a previous root canal has not settled. Success rates are high overall, though they are lower for teeth with extensive infection or difficult anatomy and for re-treatments, and we will give you a realistic picture for your tooth. Where a tooth genuinely cannot be saved, we will talk you through the alternatives, such as an implant or a bridge. The aim is always to keep your own tooth where that is sensible.

Yes. We handle a wide range of complex treatment in-house, but if your case is better suited to a particular specialist, we will refer you to a trusted colleague rather than stretch beyond what is appropriate. When we do, we coordinate the plan with you and the specialist so your care stays joined up and you are not left to manage the handover yourself. The priority is that you get the right treatment from the right person, with someone keeping the overall picture in view.
