An accredited endodontist on the Roll of Specialists since 2004 and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore; formerly an Assistant Professor at NUS, with a research focus on endodontics and dental hard tissues.
Areas of focus
Dr. Chng Hui Kheng graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and later from the University of Melbourne, Australia, where she obtained a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry and a Master of Dental Science in Endodontics in 2000. She has been on the Roll of Specialists (Endodontics) since 2004 and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr. Chng was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Restorative Dentistry at NUS from 2001 to 2005, teaching on the undergraduate programme and the postgraduate Endodontic Residency Programme. Her research interest in endodontics and dental hard tissues led to two patents being filed, alongside numerous papers and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals, and she has lectured and run hands-on courses on endodontics at conferences locally and internationally.
A member of the Singapore Dental Association and the Society of Endodontists, Singapore, Dr. Chng chaired a subcommittee of the Society of Endodontists, Singapore, and was first author of a set of guidelines on root canal treatment in Singapore adopted by the society and published in the Singapore Dental Journal in December 2004.
